    PLEASE NOTE: This position is for the UNM-Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138 miles west of Albuquerque, NM

    The University of New Mexico Gallup (UNM-Gallup) Branch invites applicants for the position of Lecturer of Nursing within the Education, Health & Human Services Division. Applicant must be prepared to teach fifteen (15) credit hours or the equivalent per semester in skills lab and clinical settings as well as duties such as scheduling and coordinating clinical experiences program wide. Lecturer duties include development and evaluation of curricula, accreditation preparation, maintaining scheduled office hours, attendance at faculty and departmental meetings, participation in campus committees and performance of other duties consistent with the role of a community college faculty member. The selected candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarly activities and professional service as well as experience in community coordination and outreach.

    UNM-Gallup is the largest of four branch community colleges of the University and serves approximately 2,000 students. Gallup is located 138 miles west of Albuquerque, and UNM Albuquerque. Gallup has a population of approximately 22,000 and the area provides an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities within some of the most beautiful red rock country in the Southwest. Located near the Navajo and Zuni Reservations, UNM-Gallup has the largest Native American student body and is designated as a Department of Education Minority-Serving Institution. UNM-Gallup is fully accredited by the North Central Association.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master's Degree in Nursing
    Two or more years clinical nursing experience
    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience teaching adults at the college level
    Demonstrated ability to work with groups in a collaborative atmosphere
    Additional experience in specialties, such as medical/surgical, pediatric, obstetric or psychiatric nursing, preferably within the last two years
    A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
